Our members are selectors. DJs who understand phrasing, blending, timing, energy, and the art of taking a crowd on a journey.
These are professionals who spent decades earning their skills long before stacked waveforms and automatic beat grids became the norm. We respect the foundations of DJing while ruthlessly pushing the music forward.
OUR STANDARDS
Reading a screen is not a substitute for training your ears. We hold our collective to an unyielding tier of technical performance.
VETERAN ROSTER
Minimum 20 years of verifiable DJ experience. Real-world performance history is strictly required.
ELITE SELECTION
Exceptional track selection and deep musical knowledge are mandatory. Smooth, seamless mixing and long-form blends are valued above tricks and gimmicks.
EARS OVER AUTOMATION
Tempo sync is acceptable. Beat sync is not. Visual mixing and dependence on stacked waveforms are not what we stand for.
SONIC RESTRAINT
Overuse of effects is discouraged. We focus on proper structure, phrasing, and natural flow over artificial energy elements.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Kinetic Strike is searching for heavy-hitting Drum & Bass selectors with proven experience and a deep understanding of the culture.
- Learned their craft through dedication and repetition.
- Understand the importance of proper structure, phrasing, and flow.
- Can control energy without relying on effects or technology to do the work for them.
- Have spent decades behind the decks and have the stories, scars, and credentials to prove it.
WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR
We are protective of our ecosystem. Kinetic Strike is explicitly not a home for:
- Performance DJs focused more on dancing and aesthetics than mixing.
- DJs whose sets rely heavily on continuous effects and tricks.
- Bedroom hobbyists with no verifiable experience outside the internet.
- DJs who depend entirely on beat grids and automated mixing tools.
- Individuals seeking followers and online validation rather than mastery.
